Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia is seeking a Radiology Technologist on a part-time, rotating shift at the Trinity Health Livonia location. Under supervision of a Radiologist, you will perform radiographic procedures and operate x-ray equipment to capture diagnostically usable images, while documenting patient history and reporting results.

The role requires ARRT registration and BCLS, plus a solid understanding of anatomy and physics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AMA approved radiologic technology training completed.
• ARRT registration required and BCLS certified.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physics concepts relevant to radiography.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures.
• Operates x-ray equipment to produce diagnostically acceptable radiographs.
• Documents patient history and reports results to the radiologist.
• Maintains professionalism and confidentiality in interactions with patients and staff.

Position Purpose

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures. Performs a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated body portions and produces diagnostically acceptable films for radiologist interpretation. Documents patient history prepares documentation of all procedures/reports completed and reports this to the radiologist. Maintains courtesy, professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, staff and physicians.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and BCLS required.
• Working knowledge of anatomy and principles of physics, electricity and variations of anatomical postures.
