Job summary

AdventHealth Winter Garden in Florida is hiring a Part-time Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging exams across departments, including operating fluoroscopy and work in OR settings, while upholding patient safety and comfort.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent, ARRT RT(R) license, BLS, 2+ years’ experience, and strong communication. The role emphasizes infection control, accurate documentation, and teamwork in a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

  • Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure accurate information.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations.
  • Ability to communicate with patients, families, and hospital staff effectively.
  • Knowledge of healthcare concepts and procedures.
  • Able to fully use Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Read, write and speak conversational English.
  • Basic computer skills and MS Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Screens patients for contrast allergies and childbearing age.
  • Positions patients and equipment to produce radiographic images meeting standards.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform scans on patients of all ages.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Description
  • Practices infection control standards and utilizes approved personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfectant agents.
  • Maintains a properly stocked, organized, and clean room.
  • Completes required documentation for Radiologist support and performs clerical duties, including answering telephones, completing patient records, filing, and scheduling.
  • Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition and ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy.
  • Obtains and documents patient history and explain procedures.
  • Performs radiology duties in all departments and environments, including OR and Fluoroscopy.
  • Performs all imaging exams using established protocols and operates all equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment.
  • Uses facility policy for proper identification of patients prior to performing exams and educates patients concerning the exam.
  • Screens patients properly for any contrast allergies and for childbearing age, minimizing radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers.
  • Positions patients and equipment and selects technical factors to produce radiographic images meeting Radiologist’s standards in a safe, timely manner.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]
  • Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment [Required]
  • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
