Job summary

AdventHealth Wesley Chapel is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, position patients, and ensure high-quality images while maintaining safety and patient comfort. You will confidently handle EMR data entry and collaborate with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires ARRT RT credential, BLS, and prior radiology software experience. Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT) and BLS required.

Job Description:

• Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist's scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques.


• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.


• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.


• Cross-trains into advanced modalities as needed. Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patient and staff.


• Performs radiographic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images that meet department standards.


• Positions patients and equipment, selecting technical factors to produce radiographic images safely and in a timely manner.


• Performs imaging with correct patient demographic and examination information.


• Enters and accesses patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR), updating procedure status and billing.


• Assists patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and privacy, in compliance with regulatory guidelines.


• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds.


• Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
