Job summary

Signature Healthcare’s Brockton Hospital is hiring a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) in Brockton, MA to support imaging services. This is a full-time position with 80 hours per pay period and rotating weekend/holiday call coverage.

The role includes performing radiographic exams, adhering to safety standards, and documenting results in RIS while assisting radiologists. Qualified candidates hold ARRT and Massachusetts state licenses, radiology technologist certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Radiologic technologist certification from an accredited institution.
• ARRT license and Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Reviews orders and prepares patients for radiologic exam.
• Perform radiographic examinations in accordance with protocols and safety rules.
• Operate imaging equipment and record information in RIS.
• Evaluate images for quality and report equipment issues.
• Support radiologists as needed.

Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) Roles and Responsibilities:

• Reviews orders and prepares patients for radiologic exam.
• Perform radiographic examinations while adhering to radiology protocols and safety regulations.
• Operate radiologic imaging equipment, portable units, and c- arms in compliance with ALARA principles.
• Support radiologist as needed.
• Record all patient information accurately in RIS.
• Evaluate radiologic images for quality and accuracy.
• Ensure adequate supplies in the Radiology department.
• Clean exam room and equipment appropriately after each patient.
• Ensure that imaging equipment is in good working condition and report equipment issues for timely repairs.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
