Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist to join our imaging team on a full-time basis. You will perform radiographs and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring high-quality images while maintaining patient dignity and safety.

Qualified candidates have AMA-approved Radiologic Technology training, ARRT certification, Florida licensure, and BLS. You will collaborate with radiologists and care teams to support accurate diagnoses and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school.
• Valid ARRT certification.
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform work which requires standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, lifting of patients/equipment up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographs (x-rays) and fluoroscopic procedures with accuracy to aid diagnosis.
• Obtain high-quality images using proper markers and documentation.
• Adjust technical factors and techniques to patient needs and contrast administration when needed.
• Position patients safely while maintaining modesty and comfort.
• Document clinical information and obtain informed consent in MEDITECH.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists and care team.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist on a full-time basis. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment and perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Tech) may include but are not limited to:

• Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures

• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated

• Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when necessary

• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices

• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time

• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist

• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school

• Valid ARRT certification

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 100 lbs.
