DMC Receiving Hospital in Detroit is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic exams under supervision, ensuring patient safety and image quality.

Responsibilities include patient history review, imaging setup, and collaboration with radiologists. You may participate in on-call rotations and contribute to continuous quality improvement within radiology.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered in Radiography (R).
• Required to have or complete American Heart Association Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) by end of orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient identity and reviews medical records for exam appropriateness.
• Interviews patient to obtain/update medical history and assess risk factors.
• Explains procedure, risks, benefits, and follow-up to patient.
• Sets up equipment and acquires images as per script.
• Reviews images and communicates data to radiologist.
• Recognizes and responds to medical emergencies as needed.
• Provides physician-prescribed post-care instructions.
• Participates in radiology process-improvement activities and quality of care initiatives.
• Educates residents, student technologists and new employees about imaging.
• Able to take call/standby as required by the department.
