Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography (R) certification required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification by orientation end date.
• Experience or ability to explain procedures and risks to patients.

Responsibilities

• Interview and verify medical history and risk factors.
• Explain procedures, potential risks, and follow-up steps to patients.
• Set up equipment and acquire images per script.
• Review images, document deviations, and inform radiologist.
• Recognize medical emergencies and respond appropriately.
• Provide post-care instructions per physician orders.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient flow initiatives.
• Educate residents and staff on imaging processes.
• Required call/standby as needed by department.
