Job summary

South Denver Surgery Center seeks a Radiology Technician to perform diagnostic radiology and fluoroscopy under physician supervision. You will operate imaging equipment and assist with sterile field tasks in operating rooms and pain-management procedures.

Required: ARRT registration, CPR current, 1–2 years' experience with C-arm and portable x-ray in OR settings; strong communication and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced ambulatory environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program.
  • 1-2 years of experience with C-Arm and portable x-rays in operating room setting.
  • ARRT Registered, State MRT and CPR Current.
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform outpatient diagnostic Radiology and Fluoroscopy.
  • Operate x-ray equipment and adjust exposure per physician.
  • Prepare supplies, explain procedures, position patients, and report changes in condition.
  • Consult with lead x-ray tech and radiologist to ensure quality.
  • Process film and maintain work area in clean and orderly condition.
  • Maintain teamwork and assist with room turnovers and restocking.

South Denver Surgery Center has an immediate need for a Radiology Tech!

Job Summary

The Radiology Technician will perform multiple procedures under the direction of specialized physicians, including the operation of special imaging and radiology equipment. Skilled at sterile field assistance during operating room and pain management procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Outpatient diagnostic Radiology, Fluoroscopy
  • Perform a variety of technical tasks involved in operating x ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body as specified by physician; adjust equipment for proper exposure, voltage and current in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
  • Determine, prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments and equipment; explain x ray procedures to patients; position patients for each anatomical view specified using immobilization and protective devices as required; report any changes in patient condition to attending medical staff.
  • Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies.
  • Record amount and type of film exposed; label film with identifying information; sort as required.
  • Consult with lead x-ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established standards of quality.
  • Process film in accordance with standardized procedures and maintain assigned work area in clean and orderly condition.
  • Strong teamwork skills, utilizing 'down time' to perform other assigned tasks, including room turnovers, restocking warmer, specialty carts, etc.

Hourly Range: $32-$39(based on experience)

Required Skills
