Job summary

South Denver Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Radiology Technician to perform outpatient diagnostic radiology and fluoroscopy under physician supervision. The role requires operating x-ray equipment, proper exposure settings, and patient positioning in the OR environment.

Eligible candidates will be ARRT registered, with 1–2 years of C-Arm and portable x-ray experience, CPR current, and knowledge of Joint Commission regulations.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
  • 1–2 years of C-Arm and portable x-ray experience in operating room settings.
  • ARRT registered, State MRT and CPR current.
  • Knowledge of local, state, federal and Joint Commission regulations.
  • Independent decision making and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform outpatient diagnostic Radiology, Fluoroscopy.
  • Operate x-ray equipment and adjust exposure per physician instructions.
  • Prepare supplies, explain procedures, and position patients.
  • Assist with fluoroscopic examinations and radiographic studies.
  • Record films, label with identifying information, and sort as required.
  • Collaborate with lead tech and radiologist to maintain quality.
  • Maintain clean, orderly work area and process films.
  • Support room turnovers and inventory tasks.

South Denver Surgery Center has an immediate need for a Radiology Tech!

Job Summary:

The Radiology Technician will perform multiple procedures under the direction of specialized physicians, including the operation of special imaging and radiology equipment. Skilled at sterile field assistance during operating room and pain management procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Outpatient diagnostic Radiology, Fluoroscopy
  • Perform a variety of technical tasks involved in operating x ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body as specified by physician; adjust equipment for proper exposure, voltage and current in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
  • Determine, prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments and equipment; explain x ray procedures to patients; position patients for each anatomical view specified using immobilization and protective devices as required; report any changes in patient condition to attending medical staff.
  • Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies.
  • Record amount and type of film exposed; label film with identifying information; sort as required.
  • Consult with lead x-ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established standards of quality.
  • Process film in accordance with standardized procedures and maintain assigned work area in clean and orderly condition.
  • Strong teamwork skills, utilizing "down time" to perform other assigned tasks, including room turnovers, restocking warmer, specialty carts, etc.

Hourly Range: $32-$39(based on experience)
