Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a dedicated Practical Radiology Technician to join our imaging team at Banner Imaging Paradise Valley. The role includes performing radiographic procedures, equipment QC, and coordinating workflow across locations, with opportunities to float to Arcadia, New River Trails and Peoria centers.

The position emphasizes safety, patient education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, offering a day shift, eight-hour days, and a 30-minute lunch break.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Requires Practical Radiologic Technologist or Limited Scope Technologist licensure by state regulatory agency if applicable.
• BLS certification.
• This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed radiographic procedures per policies and educate patients/families regarding the procedure.
• Process prescribed diagnostic radiographic procedures per policies.
• Perform and evaluate equipment quality control and troubleshoot to maintain performance.
• Ensure department workflow by scheduling, stocking exam rooms, transporting patients and coordinating with the team.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety policies.
• Independently perform radiographic procedures for patients and communicate with internal and external customers.
