The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is hiring a Wanamaker Urgent Care Radiology Tech for day shift and PRN coverage.

You will perform radiologic exams, educate patients on procedures and safety, and maintain equipment while adhering to ALARA safety practices. Requirements include graduation from an accredited ARRT Radiology Technology program, ARRT (R) registration, KS license within 6 months, and BLS within 14 days of hire.

• KSBHA license within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiologic exams to support quality patient care.
• Educate patients on radiologic procedures and safety protocols.
• Follow ALARA for radiation safety.
• Assist radiologists by evaluating imaging for quality and accuracy.
• Assist patients with positioning for the exam.
• Ensure imaging equipment is in optimum order and report needed repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiologic exams to support quality patient care
• Educate patients on radiologic procedures and safety protocols.
• Consistently performs radiation safety in accordance with ALARA
• Support the radiologist and evaluates imaging for quality and accuracy
• Assist patients with positioning for the exam
• Ensure that imaging equipment is in optimum order and inform the appropriate person when repairs are needed.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited ARRT Radiology Technology school
• Kansas State Board of Healing Arts License within 6 months of hire
• ARRT (R) registered
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Preference will be given to ARRT (R) registered Radiologic Technologist with prior work experience in a healthcare setting.
