At Meritus Health’s Urology practice, imaging is central to diagnosing and treating a wide range of urologic conditions. As an As‑Needed Radiologic Technologist in this specialty setting, you’ll perform diagnostic radiology procedures and support imaging needs unique to Urology, including ESWL and fluoroscopy‑guided workflows. You’ll collaborate closely with urology providers to deliver high‑quality images that inform timely clinical decisions and enhance patient care in a fast‑paced outpatient environment.

Radiographic procedures — Perform diagnostic radiology exams in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
ESWL & fluoroscopy support — Provide imaging support for extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy and fluoroscopy‑guided procedures, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient workflows
Equipment operation — Operate and maintain digital radiography and fluoroscopy equipment with competence and care
Clinical readiness — Prepare exam rooms, organize supplies, and maintain clean, safe radiographic areas
Patient preparation — Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures clearly, and assist staff as needed
Clinical documentation — Obtain and accurately document clinical information from patients
Procedure monitoring — Observe patients and equipment during procedures, reporting unusual occurrences immediately
Quality assurance — Record pertinent patient and imaging information in QA logs, electronic systems, and reports
Team support — Serve as a resource to staff, offering guidance and support as needed
Clinical assisting — Assist with outpatient medical assisting duties (e.g., vitals, medical history documentation) after demonstrated competency

Completion of an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
One year of experience as a radiographer preferred
ESWL and/or fluoroscopy experience strongly preferred
ARRT registration required
Maryland Radiologic Technologist licensure required
Current BLS certification in compliance with Meritus Health policy
