Job summary

Vail Valley Surgery Center in Edwards, CO is hiring a Radiology Tech to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations and ensure image quality and patient safety. This full-time role requires ARRT certification and BLS, with a focus on accurate documentation and collaboration with physicians and the care team.

Responsibilities

• Performs all radiographic examinations according to Vail Health protocols.
• Maintains collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, co-workers, and other members of health care team to contribute to continuity of care.
• Maintains established department policies and procedures, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental standards, radiation protection standards, infection control standards, and universal precautions.
• Identifies each patient and reviews exam order for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis. Reviews consistency of all demographic information including physician’s name and signature, patient’s name, and date.
• Maintains working knowledge and use of the VH HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure quality patient documentation.
• Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

About the opportunity:

Experience:

• One year of experience in radiology preferred.

License(s):

• N/A

Certification(s):

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Computer / Typing:

• Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.

Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
