Vail Health is seeking a Radiology Tech for the Dillon Surgery Center in Dillon, CO. This full-time, year-round role involves performing diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with VH protocols.

The position requires ARRT certification, BLS, and at least one year of radiology experience. You will collaborate with clinicians and maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation using VH HIS and PACS systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs all radiographic examinations according to Vail Health protocols.
• Maintains collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, co-workers, and health care team to support continuity of care.
• Adheres to department policies, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, infection control, universal precautions.
• Identifies patient and verifies exam order and demographics for accuracy.
• Uses VH HIS and PACS systems for accurate patient documentation.

• Performs other duties as assigned; HIPAA compliant.

About the opportunity:

Performs diagnostic examinations, ensures image quality, patient safety, radiation safety, and patient and physician satisfaction.

What you will do:

• Performs all radiographic examinations according to Vail Health protocols.
• Maintains constructive collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, co-workers, and other members of health care team to contribute to continuity of care.
• Maintains established department policies and procedures, objectives, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental standards, radiation protection standards, infection control standards, and universal precautions.
• Identifies each patient and reviews exam order for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis. Reviews consistency of all demographic information including physician’s name and signature, patient’s name, and date.
• Maintains working knowledge and use of the VH HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure quality patient documentation.
• Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
