Job summary

Intermountain Health in Murray, UT is seeking a temporary Radiologic Technician to perform diagnostic procedures under supervision and advance toward a Radiology Tech Reg position. The role is designed as a six-month period after clinical hours completion.

You will maintain ARRT competency, ensure proper patient prep and identification, review images for quality, and follow safety and infection control protocols. Opportunities to advance within the department are provided.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a JRCERT or AMA approved radiologic technology program with required clinical and didactic training.
• Maintains basic life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Familiarity with state licensure requirements and department protocols.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic procedures under supervision and within scope of practice.
• Maintains competency in clinical and technical functions (ARRT or modality-specific).
• Verifies patient identification and prepares the patient for exams.
• Reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time frames without compromising care.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort and addresses concerns.
• Follows infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of procedures performed and any adverse reactions.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and equipment failures.
