This position follows state licensure requirements, includes BLS, safety protocols, patient prep, image quality checks, infection control, and accurate recordkeeping, and is intended to last up to six months after clinical hours.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a JRCERT or AMA approved school of radiologic technology with documented completion of clinical and didactic training as required by state regulations.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic procedures under supervision within scope of practice.
• Prepares patients for exams and ensures correct patient identification and order verification.
• Reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy and adheres to department protocols.
• Maintains radiation safety and a safe working environment.
• Keeps accurate records of procedures, charging, coding, and equipment issues.
• Participates in infection control and sterile techniques and supports QC programs.
