WVU Medicine is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging team. The role involves rotating across all diagnostic areas under supervision to deliver high-quality radiographic studies and patient care.
Candidates must be a Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program, ARRT-certified or eligible, and compliant with state licensing requirements where services are provided. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and patient education.
Performs imaging / therapeutic services and associated patient care with support of the Radiology Department mission to provide diagnostic information for the subsequent treatment of patients at WVU Medicine.
Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
Must possess current Radiography License as required by state board where services will be provided:
Radiographer License through Maryland Board of Physicians
Radiographer License through Ohio Department of Health
No state licensure required
Radiography License through West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board
Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within Six (6) months of graduation from Medical Imaging program.
Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.

To apply for the next level, the Radiology Technologist must meet the requirements of their current level. They must also meet the required years of experience, degree, and certification to apply for the next level.

All Radiology Technologists with less than 12 months of experienceenter at Level one.
Meets requirements for previous level.
One year of experience.
Complete competency of Skill Set Tech 1, plus additional skill sets.
Meets requirements for previous levels.
One continuing education pathway.
Three years of experience.
Compliant in 3 leadership/supervisory skills.
Complete competency of Skill Set Tech 1 and 2, plus 3 additional skill sets.
Meets requirements for previous levels.
One continuing education pathway.
Five years of experience.
Compliant in 5 leadership/supervisory skills.
Complete competency of Skill Set Tech 1, 2, and 3 plus 3 additional skill sets.
