Sentara Health in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Radiology Technologist II to perform general diagnostic radiographic imaging under direction of a qualified physician, including patient positioning and equipment operation. This role may add responsibilities in interventional, dental, or operating room settings, with focus on accurate imaging, patient care, and reliable documentation.

Qualified candidates have an Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or a trade certificate and ARRT

Job Description

Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patients and completes departmental documentation.
Grandfathered staff at time of merger with military radiologic technologist training will be accepted in lieu of ARRT registry.
