Job Profile Summary
Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician. Performs Radiology Tech II responsibilities with addition of one of the following: interventional, dental or OR.
Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patients and completes departmental documentation.
Grandfathered staff at time of merger with military radiologic technologist training will be accepted in lieu of ARRT registry.
