Job summary

CommonSpirit Health radiology department seeks a Radiology Technologist to provide quality imaging and patient care in a fast-paced setting. You will operate imaging equipment, maintain patient comfort, and uphold safety standards while serving as a resource for students and staff.

Strong technical radiology skills, attention to radiation safety, and excellent communication are essential to succeed in this role and support safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging, Surgery and Trauma.
• 1 year post-certification experience to evaluate/instruct student radiographers.
• ARRT Registered Technologist, Radiology (R) credential.
• Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
• Kansas LRT applicable entities.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiology procedures with ALARA safety.
• Produces quality images accurately, completely, and timely.
• Prepares patients, provides procedure information, assists with positioning.
• Observes patient and equipment, reports issues, documents conditions.
• Facilitates patient flow, scheduling, and equipment/resource use.
• Inputs charges and completes imaging paperwork for each exam.
