Job summary

Women & Infants Hospital in Rhode Island seeks a Radiology Tech to perform and prepare evaluation documentation of diagnostic radiographics. The role includes transporting patients to the radiographic room and maintaining the radiography work area.

You will operate the Olicon Imaging system, assist in patient care across populations, and contribute to reports and department activities while upholding patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School graduate with AMA approved X-ray training is required.
• RHODE ISLAND radiographer licensure and ARRT registration are required; English proficiency needed.
• Duties include clinical care and imaging documentation for diverse patient populations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations.


• Demonstrates expertise in use and development of film.


• Prepares reports and documentation as required or directed.


• Correctly uses Olicon Imaging system as required.


• Safely transports all patient populations to radiographic room and assists patients during the x-ray process.


• Maintains equipment and work areas.


• Assists in various support activities for department.


• Enhances professional growth.


• Preserves and protects patient rights to confidentiality.


• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• High School graduate, completion of AMA approved X-ray training school required.


• Must have and maintain current licensure as a radiographer in the State of Rhode Island. Registration through the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Must be proficient in the English language.
