North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking an X-Ray Tech to perform X-ray, CT, MRI and C-Arm imaging under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer. You will interview patients, assess safety, and ensure adherence to radiology standards while maintaining accurate documentation and efficient workflow.

The role requires graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, 2+ years in a surgical setting, BLS, and ARRT registration (or eligibility within 1 year).

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum of two (2) years as a technologist in a surgical setting.
• Current BLS certification through an ARC or AHA accredited program.
• Registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or registry eligible to be obtained within 1 year of hire and licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Radiologic Technologists.
• Effective communication skills; both orally and written.
• Computer skills needed. Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care.
• Strong critical thinking skills.

Responsabilités

• Interview patients for history and inform about safety, contrast media contraindications and procedures.
• Demonstrate compliance with state, federal and accrediting body standards in radiology.
• Demonstrate proper cleaning of x-ray equipment and handling of biohazard materials.
• Ensure safety by monitoring dosimeter badges and documenting radiation exposure per policy.
• Prepare patient for X-ray by positioning and providing instructions.
• Enter patient information into the system and select the appropriate protocol.
• Perform X-ray procedures on required anatomical regions per standards and protocols.
