Job summary

Dignity Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform pediatric imaging while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

You will conduct X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI exams, interacting with families to create a positive experience. Candidates must be a high school graduate, graduate of a radiology program, with at least 5 years of radiologic technologist experience and CA licensure/certifications as listed.

Qualifications

• Must be a High School Graduate or GED.
• Graduate of a Radiology Program.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Medical Radiographer license: CA.
• American Heart Association CPR certification.
• Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA license.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric imaging exams including X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI.
• Provide a comforting experience for children and families through direct interaction.
• Ensure patient privacy and modesty in care.
• Identify self by name and title to patient/family.
• Report suspected abuse/neglect when identified.
• Understand how to access Bioethics Committee.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images specifically tailored for pediatric patients, enabling accurate diagnoses and effective management of their conditions.

Every day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations on children, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively creating a comforting and positive experience for young patients and their families through direct interaction.

To be successful in this role, you will understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging in a pediatric context, encompassing expertise in child-friendly workflow, age-appropriate patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses in children.

• Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained.
• Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
• Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.
• Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.
• Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.
• Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee.
