Job summary

Dignity Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton, California seeks a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform pediatric imaging across X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI modalities while ensuring a comforting experience for children and families.

Required are CA Radiology Tech License, 3–5 years of Radiologic Technology experience, Fluoroscopy, and Basic Life Support; Expanded IV Therapy is preferred to support advanced pediatric care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiology Program with a valid California Radiology Tech License.
• 3–5 years of Radiologic Technology experience in a clinical setting.
• Fluoroscopy experience and Basic Life Support certification.
• Expanded IV Therapy Course completed.

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic images tailored for pediatric patients.
• Perform X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs as required for children.
• Maintain patient privacy and modesty during care.
• Interact with patients and families to create a comforting experience.
• Identify and report suspected abuse/neglect; know how to access the Bioethics Committee.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images specifically tailored for pediatric patients, enabling accurate diagnoses and effective management of their conditions.

Every day you will perform a variety of imaging examinations on children, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively creating a comforting and positive experience for young patients and their families through direct interaction.

To be successful in this role, you will understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging in a pediatric context, encompassing expertise in child-friendly workflow, age-appropriate patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses in children.

• Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained.
• Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
• Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.
• Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.
• Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.
• Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee.
