Job summary

Dignity Health - St. John's Hospital Camarillo is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to produce diagnostic images for Radiologists. You will perform X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI, while ensuring patient safety and a positive experience.

Requirements include five years as a staff radiology technologist with two specialty validations, and CA licensure with ARRT certifications across modalities. On-site role with competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years experience as a staff technologist in radiology with at least one year in two specialty fields or lead/instructor experience.
• CA Radiographer license required at hire
• Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech license required at hire
• ARRT radiography certification required at hire or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Transfers and positions patients per department standards.
• Independently performs diagnostic imaging procedures per orders.
• Provides protection following safety procedures.
• Sends images to PACS and prints images as needed.
• Interviews patients for medical history and obtains informed consents.
• Uses sterile technique and prevents cross-contamination.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Transfers and positions patients. Measurement: Observation, Feedback.
• Independently performs all diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with department standards and in keeping with the orders of the referring physician. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Departmental monitors.
• Provides protection in accordance with prescribed safety procedures. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Departmental monitors.
• Assumes responsibility to send images to PACS and laser printing images as needed. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Image accuracy, Image quality.
• Interviews patients for pertinent medical history and obtains consents on patients prior to performing studies as required. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Patient care documentation.
• Uses sterile technique and prevents cross-contamination.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years experience as a staff technologist in radiology with at least one year (1) experience in each of two specialty fields, or be the lead in radiology and/or the clinical instructor for the Moorpark College, School of RadiologicTechnology, or Mammography QCTechnologist.
