Qualifications

State of Maine License for Radiologic Technology/Radiographer (RT) required.
Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.

Responsibilities

Review patient history and physician's orders. Educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
Administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice. Monitor patient condition and respond to changes.
Prepare, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment malfunctions. Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
Position patients and perform imaging procedures. Address image quality issues and ensure timely reporting of exam findings.
