Qualifications

• 2-4 years of clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist required
• ARRT certification required (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of hire required
• ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Operates, monitors, and maintains radiographic/x-ray equipment during procedures
• Educates patients and families about pre-, during-, and post-procedure events and instructions
• Assists in in-service training on radiology equipment and radiation safety
• Performs invasive imaging procedures as needed with safety and procedural compliance
• Monitors patients' vital signs during procedures and relays information to medical staff
• Maintains accurate patient records and documentation of charges
• Ensures required paperwork is signed, dated, and timed by physicians
• Checks radiology equipment before use for safety and function
• Serves as a resource and supports team with guidance and delegated authority
• Performs other duties as assigned
