Job summary

Emanuel Medical Center, located in Turlock, California, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a Per Diem role in the Radiology department. The position entails rotating shifts and on-call duties with responsibilities that include operating imaging equipment and ensuring patient care during procedures.

The ideal candidate has CA state licensure in Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification, a Fluoroscopy permit within two years, and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed and hold current certification in Radiologic Technology by the State of California., Radiologic Health Section, Department of Health.
• Must be licensed by American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT).
• Obtain Fluoroscopy permit within two years of employment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Basic computer literacy and applications for data entry, record maintenance.
• Ability to recognize life threatening conditions and implement basic life sustaining actions.
• Ability to accurately position the body for imaging.
• Utilize techniques to physically manipulate and apply accessories to produce a desired image.
• Ability to select technical factors and operate imaging equipment to produce a quality diagnostic image.
• Use of beam restricting devices, patient shielding techniques, proper screen-film combinations, assessment and implementation of appropriate exposure to factors to minimize radiation exposure.
• One year Radiologic Technologist experience in one of the following modalities: CT, MRI, Specials, Ultrasound or Nuclear Medicine.
• Working hours while on-call may be inconvenient or unpleasant. Must be able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes of being paged while on call.
