Dignity Health - St. John’s Hospital Camarillo is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform X-ray, CT, MRI, and other imaging studies with attention to patient comfort and safety. You will work under Radiologists’ supervision to produce diagnostic images and ensure high-quality results.

The role requires solid knowledge of imaging workflow, patient positioning, and accurate documentation, along with licensure and ARRT certification in California.

Qualifications

  • License to practice radiologic technology in California, upon hire.
  • Certification in ARRT or equivalent preferred.
  • CPR/BLS at hire or per policy.

Responsibilities

  • Position and transfer patients to proper imaging area.
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures per orders and standards.
  • Follow safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
  • Film, develop, and laser print examinations as required.
  • Obtain patient history and consents prior to studies.

Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

  • Transfers and positions patients.
  • Independently performs all diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with department standards and in keeping with the orders of the referring physician.
  • Provides protection in accordance with prescribed safety procedures.
  • Accepts responsibility for filming and developing examinations, including laser printing.
  • Interviews patients for pertinent medical history and obtains consents on patients prior to performing studies as required.
Job Requirements
  • More than 6 months experience as Radiologic Technologist.
  • Medical Radiographer: CA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA, within 6 - months
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Mammography, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire or
