Job summary

UC San Diego is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist to perform a range of radiographic and fluoroscopic exams across General Diagnostic Radiology. Licensure in California CRT-R with CRT-F possible within six months, ARRT R.T.(R) certification, and BLS/BART as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have valid California Radiology Technologist licenses (CRT-R and CRT-F within 6 months of hire).
• ARRT certification required (R.T.(R)(ARRT)).
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex radiographic and fluoroscopic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment.
• Prepare and position patients following established protocols to achieve high-quality images.
• Review and verify image quality, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and healthcare staff; adhere to radiation safety principles.
