Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our radiology team. You will perform imaging studies with a focus on patient safety, accuracy, and compassionate care.

You will collaborate with radiologists, maintain equipment, and ensure QC and infection control standards are met. The role includes a sign-on bonus, competitive pay, and flexible scheduling with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Preferred clinical training in a Radiologic Technologist program and healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity, body part, and side before the examination.
• Provide sound patient care per department and hospital policies to ensure safety.
• Explain procedures to patients/families and address questions to ease anxiety and cooperation.
• Recognize and respond to clinical or emergent problems during exams and take appropriate action.
• Maintain equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
• Maintain proper sterile technique and adhere to infection control and QC requirements.
• Record requisition information accurately and complete routine clerical duties in PACS/RADIANT.
