Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team in New Orleans. You will operate x-ray equipment, ensure high-quality exams, and communicate procedures clearly to patients to ease anxiety.

Required ARRT and Louisiana licensure with CPR; 3–5 years radiology experience preferred. Shifts are days, on-site at East Jefferson General Hospital, part of our caring health system.

Qualifications

• ARRT and CPR certification required.
• Louisiana Radiology Technologist license required.
• Three to five years radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical skills and knowledge in use of all x-ray equipment, protocols, procedures and producing high quality exams.
• Explain procedure to patients/families and answer questions, ease anxiety, and address concerns.
• Recognize clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate action for a positive outcome.
• Evaluate critical test findings and review anatomic details and abnormalities on scans with radiologists if needed.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment and follow quality control checks.
