Job summary

AdventHealth in Overland Park, Kansas seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform radiographic exams across departments including OR and Fluoroscopy, ensuring safety and image quality.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience, an Associate or higher degree, BLS and ARRT RT(R) certification, and strong communication. Day shift, full-time with benefits; sign-on bonus up to $10,000 may be available.

Qualifications

• Infection control standards and PPE usage as per unit policy.
• Proper maintenance of a clean, stocked radiology room.
• Documentation for Radiologist support and clerical duties.
• Direct patient care while ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Obtain patient history and explain procedures clearly.
• Perform radiology exams in OR/ Fluoroscopy with established protocols.
• Identify patients, educate and ensure proper exam prep.
• Screen for contrast allergies and childbearing status.
• Position patients/equipment to meet radiologist standards.
• Adapt protocols for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Practices infection control standards and utilizes PPE and disinfectants.
• Maintains a properly stocked, organized, and clean room.
• Completes required documentation for Radiologist support and performs clerical duties.
• Performs direct patient care duties within technologist scope to ensure safety.
• Obtains and documents patient history and explains procedures.
• Performs radiology duties in all departments and environments, including OR/Fluoroscopy.
• Operates imaging equipment safely and correctly per protocol.
• Educates patients on exam procedures and safety.
• Screens patients for allergies and pregnancy status; minimizes radiation exposure.
• Positions patients/equipment and selects factors to produce quality images.
• Adapts scans for patients of different ages; performs other duties as assigned.
