Job summary

Community Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is seeking an X-Ray Tech for our Imaging department. The role involves preparing patients, positioning for accurate images, and ensuring safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree is required.
  • Certification from ARRT and state licensure as applicable.
  • Radiologic Technology program graduation or diploma is required.

Description

Position Highlights:

  • Position: X-Ray Tech
  • Location: Community Hospital/Imaging

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain the most accurate images and minimize radiation exposure.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment according to established protocols and safety standards.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their well-being and report any adverse reactions.
  • Review images to ensure quality and clarity and collaborate with radiologists to obtain additional views if necessary.
  • Maintain patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Stay up to date with advances in imaging technology and techniques through continuing education and training.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree required.
  • Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)and licensure by the state regulatory agency as applicable.

Compensation:

  • The anticipated compensation range for this position is $30.00 - $34.50 per hour, commensurate with qualifications, education, experience, and other applicable factors. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
  • Additional compensation may be available in the form of discretionary incentive or other compensation programs. Any such additional compensation is not guaranteed and is determined at the sole discretion of the organization based on applicable program terms, individual and/or organizational performance, and other eligibility requirements.
