Job summary

Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot, ID is seeking a skilled X-Ray/CT Technologist to join our Radiology team. The role offers day and night shifts with multiple scheduling options and opportunities to expand imaging skills in a community hospital.

You will work with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and others to provide essential diagnostic imaging and patient care, while focusing on safety, quality, and patient comfort in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of, or eligible to graduate from, a recognized Radiologic Technology program
  • Associate or Bachelor\u2019s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures with clear instructions
  • Perform diagnostic imaging using general radiography, fluoroscopy, portable X-ray units, C-arms, and CT
  • Position patients based on condition and exam requirements
  • Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently
  • Process and manage diagnostic images accurately
  • Review images for quality and completeness
  • Assist radiologists and physicians during procedures
  • Maintain documentation and fiscal responsibilities
  • Communicate professionally with patients and families
  • Maintain equipment and imaging areas in a clean, safe condition
  • Follow radiation safety and hospital policies
  • Engage in continuing education and competency checks for new equipment

What You'll Do

As an X-Ray/CT Technologist, you'll provide safe, accurate, and compassionate diagnostic imaging services while helping physicians and other providers make important decisions about patient care.

Your responsibilities will include:

Prepare patients for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions to achieve optimal results while reducing anxiety

Perform diagnostic imaging using general radiography, fluoroscopy, portable X-ray units, C-arms, and CT equipment

Position patients appropriately based on their condition, physical abilities, and the requirements of each examination

Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently

Process and manage diagnostic images accurately

Review images for quality and completeness and make adjustments as necessary

Review patient charts and available clinical information to identify potential contraindications or concerns

Assist radiologists and physicians during procedures

Maintain accurate documentation, including exam orders, required paperwork, and fiscal responsibilities

Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients and families

Maintain equipment and imaging areas in a clean, safe, and operational condition

Ensure appropriate supplies are available for procedures

Follow all radiation safety and hospital policies

Complete required training and competency checklists for new equipment and technology

Participate in continuing education and maintain current knowledge of imaging practices and technology

Qualifications
Education

Graduate of, or eligible to graduate from, a recognized and approved Radiologic Technology program

Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred

Licensure & Certifications

ARRT certification required, or registry eligible with certification pending

BLS certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

Proficiency in positioning patients for diagnostic imaging

Ability to safely and effectively operate radiographic and CT equipment

Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital imaging systems

Willingness and ability to learn new equipment and technology

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
