Job Description

The Radiology Technical Aide performs a variety of routine duties including clerical, non-technical, and patient-related functions. Responsibilities include assisting radiologists, technologists, nurses, and other staff, providing services such as patient check-in, preparation, assistance with procedures, and transportation. The role may involve work in various imaging sections and support multiple radiology modalities based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Interact effectively with co-workers, visitors, and staff, embodying Jefferson's values.
• Assist in radiology rooms with patient needs such as blankets, clothing changes, and support technologists.
• Inspect and replenish stock and linen, ensure inventory readiness, and prepare examination rooms.
• Provide backup to front office staff and perform special projects and cleanup tasks.
• Train new transporters/escorts in patient care techniques and handle patient documentation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Relevant training and/or experience to perform duties.
• Previous medical office experience is desirable.
• CPR certification is required.

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and staff.
• Physical ability to lift and transfer patients using beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
