Job summary

Jefferson Abington Memorial Hospital seeks a Radiology Technical Aide to support imaging services across Abington, Lansdale, Warminster, Blue Bell and North Willow Grove. Responsibilities include patient check-in, room preparation, assistance to radiologists and transport of patients.

The ideal candidate has superb customer service, is highly flexible, and able to cover all five sites. PRN shifts include every other weekend or four weekend shifts per month and at least one shift per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and transfer patients (40–50 lbs) and assist with transfers.

• Assist radiologists, technologists, nurses and staff across imaging areas.

Radiology Technical Aide is responsible for assisting radiologists, technologists, nurses and other clinical and support staff and providing a broad range of health care services such as: patient check-in, preparation for the visit, assistance with procedures, and patient transporting. The Radiology Technical Aide may be assigned to work in a variety of imaging sections, assist multiple radiology modalities and/or clinical services per operational needs.Job DutiesInteracts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.Transport patients to and from all areas in the Department of Radiology, monitor patient support devices and provide overall patient care. Monitors patients when needed.Assist in Radiological rooms by giving blankets, bedpans, clothing changes, etc. to the patient and assist the technologists as neededInspect and replenish stock and linen in all patient care areas. Ensures adequate inventory of stock & non-stock supplies. Prepare the examination room for the next procedure.Provides back-up to the front office and film room staff, and perform numerous “special projects” and clean-up tasks as assigned.Trains new transporters/escorts in proper patient care techniques.
