Job summary

Southwest Medical Imaging, LTD is seeking a Tech Assistant to join our radiology team. You will greet patients, prep for exams, and support imaging operations while upholding safety protocols in MRI environments.

duties include starting IVs, performing I-STAT tests, uploading outside imaging, and keeping areas clean and stocked. Flexibility to work varied shifts at multiple locations is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a medical office; Radiology preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Phlebotomy experience required; IV skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer services with greeting and acknowledging all patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare patients for exams, obtain medical histories, and assist with prep for the exam.
• Ensure MRI safety by instructing patients to remove personal belongings.
• Start IVs and run I-STAT tests as needed.
• Support coworkers with daily tasks and lab prep for next day appointments.
• Upload outside imaging and keep patient areas clean and stocked.
• Assist technologists and staff with routine tasks.
• Work varied shifts and at multiple locations as needed.
