Job summary

St. Francis–Emory Healthcare, a 376-bed hospital in Columbus, GA, seeks a Radiology Tech Assistant to support daily imaging operations. You will help prepare patients, transport them, and assist technologists while ensuring a clean, safe, patient-ready environment.

In this role you will perform clerical tasks, manage simple data entry, and coordinate with clinical staff to maintain efficient workflows. A High School diploma and BLS certification are required or obtained within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS Certification within 3 months of hire.
• Healthcare or imaging experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients in preparation for imaging procedures and positioning under supervision.
• Transports patients to and from imaging areas using safe techniques and equipment.
• Prepares exam rooms with supplies and maintains cleanliness between procedures.
• Cleans and maintains imaging equipment and patient care areas per infection control guidelines.
• Assists with clerical tasks such as patient check-in and data entry.
• Supports technologists and radiologists by anticipating needs during procedures.
• Follows hospital policies for safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality.
