Job summary

Memorial Health System in Marietta, OH seeks a Radiology Technology Assistant for a PRN role supporting patient check-in, exam prep, and imaging workflows. You will assist with exams, educate patients, and help with transportation and safety procedures.

The position requires being in an approved Radiologic Technology program (second year) or completion with licensure pending up to 6 months, and BLS certification. A strong focus on safety, customer service, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Second year student in an approved Radiologic Technology program; or completed a program and awaiting licensure for up to 6 month required.
• BLS Certification required, will obtain during orientation if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assists Techs with imaging exams and performs clerical duties including record keeping.
• Communicates effectively with patients/families and all care providers.
• Adheres to section protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with coordinating work assignments to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Sets up the imaging room to match examinations and uses proper isolation precautions.
• Provides patient education and explains studies to patients clearly.
• Safely transfers patients using body mechanics and lifting devices as needed.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, well-stocked room.
• Rotates within departments for proper coverage.
