Job summary

Valley Baptist - Harlingen Hospital is seeking a radiologic technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures under minimal supervision, using x-ray energy to aid in diagnosis for patients of all ages. You will apply professional judgment and complete competencies during introductory period.

The role includes rotating through advanced areas of diagnostic radiology, assisting with fluoroscopy, arthrography, OR procedures, and trauma, while contributing to a supportive patient care

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited imaging program
• ARRT certification or registry eligible
• Must obtain ARRT within one year of graduation
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• State license if required

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures as requested by a licensed physician.
• Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs and rotates through advanced areas of diagnostic radiology including OR, Urography, open reductions, myelography, arthrography, placements and trauma.

Job description

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, applying x-ray energy, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs, rotates through advanced areas of diagnostic radiology to include OR, Urography, open reductions, myelography, arthrography, placements, and trauma; assists practitioner with fluoroscopy, arthrography, OR procedures and trauma.

Education

• Required: Graduate of accredited Imaging Program
• Preferred: Associate degree

Experience

• Preferred: 1-3 years

Certifications

Required: ARRT or registry eligible; must have ARRT within one year post graduation; AHA BLS, state license if required
