Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Colorado Springs is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with emphasis on safety and high-quality results. You will operate imaging equipment, ensure patient comfort, and uphold current standards of practice while serving as a clinical resource for students and staff.

The role requires ARRT-R T(R), current BLS, and at least one year of post-certification experience.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Registered Technologist, Radiology RT(R) ARRT.
  • Current Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
  • Knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging including Surgery and Trauma.
  • One year post-certification experience to evaluate/instruct student radiographers.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring safety and ALARA principles.
  • Produces quality images accurately, completely, and promptly.
  • Prepares patients, provides procedure information, responds to needs, and assists with positioning.
  • Observes patient and equipment, reports unusual occurrences and documents conditions.
  • Facilitates smooth patient flow, scheduling, and optimal use of equipment and resources.
  • Inputs charges and data, completes hospital/medical imaging paperwork for each exam.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Radiology Tech, you will provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department, performing high-quality images and exams with sensitivity to patient needs, and upholding safe radiation practices. Every day you will operate imaging equipment, maintain patient comfort, follow all safety protocols, and act as a clinical resource and role model for students, staff technologists, and other hospital personnel, ensuring current standards of practice for the unit. To be successful in this role, you will possess strong technical skills in radiology, meticulous attention to radiation safety, and excellent patient care and communication abilities.

  • Performs diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring safety for all individuals and practicing ALARA radiation safety.
  • Produces quality images accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
  • Prepares patients, provides procedure information, responds to needs, and assists with patient positioning.
  • Observes patient and equipment during procedures, reporting unusual occurrences and documenting conditions.
  • Facilitates smooth patient flow, scheduling, and optimal use of equipment and resources.
  • Correctly inputs charges, required data, and completes necessary hospital/medical imaging paperwork for each exam.
Job Requirements
Required
  • High Sschool diploma or GED
  • Registered Technologist, Radiology-R.T. (R) (ARRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma as required
  • One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers

Pay Range

$27.97 - $47.11 /hour
