Job summary

Brown University Health at Rhode Island Hospital seeks a Tech Assistant/Transporter to support diagnostic imaging by transporting patients, preparing rooms and equipment, and assisting during procedures. You will ensure patient safety, assist radiologists, and help maintain efficient workflow in the Imaging Department.

Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, Tech Assistant training (or healthcare background) and Basic Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Tech Assistant training program or clinical background in healthcare.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and written/spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room, equipment and supplies for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Assists technologists and radiologists during exams and transports patients.
• Maintains patient safety, ALARA principles and infection control.
• Transports patients to/from Diagnostic Imaging and coordinates with staff.
