Lehigh Valley Health Network, Inc. seeks a patient care support team member to facilitate radiology services and deliver high levels of patient care and customer service within a care delivery team.

This role emphasizes safety, communication, and collaborative practice in a hospital setting. Evening Shift at the Health Center location in Hellertown, with standard monitoring and operational responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to display a compassionate, positive disposition in interactions with patients and colleagues.
• Basic computer and typing skills required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to multi-task and organize priorities in patient care.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Confirms physician orders are complete with signature and relevant details; obtains missing information prior to treatment.
• Provides care to patients using a patient/family-centered approach and follows established policies and procedures.
• Communicates findings or changes to RN or Technologist as appropriate.
• Uses clear verbal and non-verbal communication with patients, families, staff and colleagues.
• Participates in orientation of new staff and supports team-building efforts.
• Maintains accurate information in the database and performs clerical computer functions to support patient care.
• Performs registrations as required.
• Ensures safety and efficient movement of patients within departments.
• Monitors supplies and equipment to meet patient care needs.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly.
