CommonSpirit Health's Mercy Hospital in Durango, CO is seeking a Radiology Tech Assistant to transport patients and support imaging services. You will greet patients, prepare exam rooms, schedule exams, answer calls, and help with paperwork while ensuring safety and comfort.

You will assist technologists with room setup, patient histories, and explaining procedures, while maintaining ALARA principles and proper PPE and CPR certification.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association).

Mansioni

• Transports patients, communicates handoffs to the technologist, and conveys information accurately.
• Gathers pertinent patient history, notes exam inconsistencies or contraindications, and informs the technologist.
• Maintains ALARA principles, uses PPE, and follows manufacturer instructions for equipment.
• Performs equipment cleaning and environmental maintenance for infection control.
• Explains tests and procedures to patients, addresses questions, and assists with positioning for exams.
• Maintains CPR certification and completes hospital safety and compliance training.
