Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Durango, CO is seeking an MRI Tech to deliver quality patient care within the medical imaging department, performing high quality MRI exams while following ACR guidelines and safety standards.

You will operate MRI equipment, position patients, maintain image quality, and act as a clinical resource to staff, demonstrating leadership and compassionate care aligned with the hospital’s safety culture and excellence in imaging.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Registered Radiology Technologist; Radiology, MRI (ARRT) certification required.
• BLS from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment to obtain high-quality images.
• Position patients and ensure image quality according to protocols.
• Serve as a clinical resource to unit personnel and model standards.
• Follow ACR guidelines and safety standards.
• Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.
• Document and report any unusual occurrences and patient condition.
