Job summary

University Hospitals in Elyria, OH is seeking a Patient Care Support Associate to assist Radiologic Technologists during imaging procedures, verify orders, prepare patients, and coordinate with the health care team to ensure smooth patient flow.

You will assist with lifting and transporting patients, register and check-in patients, handle basic data entry in radiology systems, stock supplies, and adhere to MRI and radiation safety policies as well as PHI protection and hospital SOPs.

Qualifications

• Assist with patient assessments and preparation during imaging procedures.
• Coordinate patient care with other health care team members.
• Assist with lifting and transport of patients.
• Perform basic data entry in radiology systems.
• Register and check-in patients.
• Follow MRI and radiation safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain PHI security and comply with hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Radiologic Technologist by completing basic patient assessments including verifying patient orders, completing patient questionnaires, patient preparation and instruction.
• Facilitate patient care including lifting, transport, chaperone and monitoring of patients.
• Assist with Radiology computer information and data entry including PAC system.
• Ensure the adequate availability of procedural supplies to include ordering and stocking patient care supply item.
• Follow hospital initiative in order to meet patient satisfaction goals.
• Follow MRI and radiation safety policies and procedures
• Follow hospital and department Core Values, SOPs, policies, and standards
• Register and check-in patients
• Communicate with other members of the health care team to help coordinate patient care
