Job summary

Under supervision, you help with patient preparation, scheduling, and documentation, maintaining knowledge of procedures, contraindications, and necessary paperwork for approvals.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills and medical terminology required.
• Certified medical assistant or currently enrolled in a radiology technologist program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the technical staff with patient flow and procedures.
• Maintaining knowledge of designated procedures and protocols to assist the technologist or radiologist with the procedure, including patient preparation.
• Maintaining knowledge of procedures and contraindications; able to collect clinical information, necessary images and paperwork to obtain approvals prior to scheduling.
• Obtaining clinical information from the patient or referring physician for scheduled procedures.
• Scheduling procedures.
• Preparing trays and appropriate forms for procedures.
• Monitoring supply stock and ordering supplies for procedures.
