Job summary

Norton Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Diagnostic Imaging professional to supervise night shift operations in Louisville. The role requires strong knowledge of anatomy, imaging techniques, and patient communication to ease anxiety and ensure high image quality.

The supervisor will guide radiology students, oversee safety protocols (radiation and MRI), infection control, and quality control, and assist management in achieving departmental satisfaction, regulatory and budgetary goals.

Qualifications

• One year as a Diagnostic Imaging Tech.
• Diploma from an accredited program.
• State license and credentials (CNMT, ARRT variants, ARDMS or ARMRIT) or equivalent licensure; RAD/RADT may be required within 12 months if RADT held.

Responsibilities

• Work Monday–Friday, night shift 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and image quality; communicate exam details and relieve patient anxiety.
• Understand patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, MRI safety, equipment operation, infection control, and quality control.
• Train and supervise radiology students; support Manager/Director in meeting department goals and regulatory/budgetary targets.
