Job Summary And Qualifications

The Supervisor performs Radiological diagnostic procedures as outlined by the Radiologist. Supervises and is responsible for training of all technical staff on designated shifts for Radiology. This supervisor has operational responsibility for all imaging modalities after business hours, to include Ultrasound, CT, MRI, NM, and IR. This supervisor is responsible for minor PACS administration tasks and Super User resources for other health system facilities including MCMC and Centre Pointe ED. Communicate any emergent events that may take place after business hours to Director and/or administration when necessary. Intra facility communication of operational concerns regarding ED and IP imaging services will be the responsibility of the 2nd shift supervisor. Operates diagnostic equipment, processes images and prepares room with necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Other duties include, but are not limited to, clerical, scheduling, transportation, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning, and anything deemed necessary by the Medica Imaging Management Team. Supervisor follows the Radiation Protection Program including ALARA, as low as reasonably achievable for patients, physicians and personnel. Staff must follow all regulatory compliance for DHEC, Joint Commission, ACR and any regulatory agency governing radiation safety. Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Employee must have the same licensure or have completed the same training to satisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student. Direct supervision means the primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support Required
• (ARRT-R) Radiography Certification Required
• SCRQSA Required
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• Graduate of an AMA Approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Experience in Diagnostic Imaging required
• Experience in Supervisory role strongly preferred
