Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Radiology Supervisor to oversee daily operations within the Breast Health Center. This leadership role combines clinical excellence with supervisory and administrative responsibilities, ensuring optimal patient care and departmental efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily activities of radiology personnel and ensure adequate coverage for all operational areas.
• Coordinate and organize patient flow, prioritizing procedures and adjusting workloads as necessary to meet response time standards.
• Maintain and verify the quality and accuracy of imaging exams performed by the staff.
• Serve as a technical leader for the section, offering expertise, collaborating with physicians, and providing direction for diagnostic services.
• Lead staff development by conducting in-service education, training sessions, and regular staff meetings.
• Manage employee records, including documentation of PTO, absences, tardiness, performance evaluations, and any corrective actions.
• Perform payroll functions including documentation of overtime and additional hours worked.
• Oversee documentation of patient throughput, equipment downtime, and supply management.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of patients within the Radiology department, including monitoring while awaiting transportation.
• Maintain department readiness by ensuring work areas are appropriately stocked for the next shift.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong ability to balance clinical production responsibilities with supervisory and administrative tasks.
• Proven managerial or supervisory experience in a healthcare or radiology setting.
• High level of technical proficiency with radiology systems and workflow management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Successful completion of a formal Radiology Technology Program accredited by an AMA-approved institution.
• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC.
• Mammography certification required.
